Abstract (en)
The molding body has trimmed timbers (3) made of transverse or grain section of balsa wood. The trimmed timbers are arranged in a stack, and are mutually aligned with parallel fiber direction, which deviates from an axis in a usual fiber direction at an angle from zero to three degree. An adhesive i.e. foamed polyurethane contained adhesive, is provided between the trimmed timbers, where the volume of the adhesive ranges from 3 to 5 percentages related to the volume of the molding body. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing the molding body.

Formkörper aus Schnitthölzern aus Quer- oder Hirnschnitten von Balsahölzern, in Stapelung angeordnet und gegenseitig mit gleichlaufender Faserrichtung ausgerichtet, und enthaltend Klebstoff zwischen den Schnitthölzern. Die Zwischenräume der einander anliegenden Schnitthölzer sind beispielsweise mit einem geschäumten Klebstoff gefüllt. Die Faserrichtung, resp. der Faserverlauf, im Formkörper ist im wesentlichen gleichlaufend ausgerichtet und der Faserverlauf der einzelnen Schnitthölzer kann beispielsweise von 0° bis 30° (Winkelgrad) von einer Achse in allgemeiner Faserrichtung im Formkörper abweichen.
