Abstract (en)

The signaling unit has a light source including a glow filament and a control circuit. A switching unit detects failure of a filament lamp current in the control circuit, using a current relay in the control circuit or alternatively by an electronic circuit. A quasi point LED unit is utilized as a backup light source having a directional characteristic corresponding to the former light source and a preset signal color. The backup source or an outlet for light beams from the backup source is arranged in a main axis of the former light source.

Erfindungsgemäss ist eine Signalisierungseinheit (ein Lichtsignal) vorgesehen, umfassend: a) eine Lichtquelle mit Glühwendel und Ansteuerkreis; b) eine Schaltungseinrichtung, vorzugsweise mittels Stromrelais in dem Ansteuerkreis der Lichtquelle oder alternativ mit einer elektronischen Schaltung, zur Erkennung des Ausfalls eines Glühlampenstromes im Ansteuerkreis; und c) eine quasi punktförmige LED-Einheit als Ersatzlichtquelle mit einer an die Lichtquelle angepassten Abstrahlcharakteristik. an die jeweilige Signalfarbe angepasst. Auf diese Weise übernimmt die Ersatzlichtquelle die Aufgabe der Lichtquelle, wobei aufgrund der hohen Zuverlässigkeit der LED-Einheit ein Austausch der Lichtquelle mit Glühwendel nicht mit hoher Dringlichkeit vorgenommen werden muss.
