Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2119817A2] Fibers are fed into a shaft (13) from the feed unit (1) where they reach the roller (14) extracting them as a mat. In the new design, a fraction of the fibers is returned to the fiber source from the shaft. They are then blown back to the shaft by the fan (5), without having to pass through an opening. Air passing through sieve surfaces is combined with the returned air and fibers. The surplus quantity of fibers supplied, is measured (9) in the channel.
