Abstract (en)

The hood (100) has a horizontal cylindrical casing (10) forming a suction chamber. It is designed for recirculated-air operation. Fans in the casing reduce pressure inside the suction chamber. The casing includes filters removing grease and odors from the vapors sucked-in. The odor filter includes an activated carbon filter and/or a plasma filter. Filtered air is blown out through end openings (20, 22) of the cylinder.

Um eine Dunstabzugshaube (100; 102) mit einem Gehäuse (10), das mindestens einen Saugraum der Dunstabzugshaube (100; 102) umgibt, wobei - die Dunstabzugshaube (100; 102) zum Umluftbetrieb ausgelegt ist und - im Gehäuse (10) mindestens ein Lüfter (40) zur Erzeugung von Unterdruck im Saugraum angeordnet ist, so weiterzubilden, dass das Gehäuse (10) der Dunstabzugshaube (100; 102) möglichst kompakt ausgebildet ist, insbesondere dass der Quotient aus Dunstabzugsleistung und Gehäusegröße möglichst groß ist, wird vorgeschlagen, dass das Gehäuse (10) ein im Wesentlichen zylinderförmiges Profil aufweist.
