Abstract (en)

[origin: EP2119971A2] The hood (100) has a horizontal cylindrical casing (10) forming a suction chamber. It is designed for recirculated-air operation. Fans in the casing reduce pressure inside the suction chamber. The casing includes filters removing grease and odors from the vapors sucked-in. The odor filter includes an activated carbon filter and/or a plasma filter. Filtered air is blown out through end openings (20, 22) of the cylinder.
