Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2120346A1] A device and method for bit interleaving are disclosed to process bit interleaving of a HS-PDSCH channel in HSPA+ of the WCDMA system. The device comprises a module for reading information from high layer, a module for calculating the number of interleaver, a module for calculating the number of bit within a single code, a data reading module, a bit data assignment module, a bit interleaving writing module, a bit interleaving module, a bit interleaving reading module and a bit combining module. The method comprises the following steps: reading high layer control information containing the modulation scheme and the number of codes, determining the number N Int of rectangular interleavers required to be used for each code and the bit number U for a single code, writing respectively by row U data into N Int N row × N col interleavers according to the modulation scheme, interleaving the data in each interleaver, reading bits of the single code in turn from the N Int interleavers, and, combining orderly the data read from the N Int interleavers in turn into U bits. The HSPA+ system can support well for higher order modulation technology such as 64QAM and be fully compatible with the existing system using the method and device of this invention.
