[origin: WO2008065263A2] Paper for a label (1), characterized in that it is formed by a paper medium having a non-coated base (2), on the back of which is applied, by any means, at least one coating of a polymer liquid (3), into which is incorporated an opacifying agent or load, which gives said product a dry and wet opacity, which is added to that of the paper medium having a non-coated base (2), so as to produce an opaque coating and limit water passing between the product to be labeled and the paper medium having a non-coated base (2), for use of the product in a wet environment or when it must be submerged in water, while preserving the label qualities.
