[origin: EP2123567A1] An envelope for laser printing is described. The envelope comprises a first paper sheet having a closure flap of the envelope along a folding line and it comprises a window to view the envelope contents, wherein the window perimeter comprises a first segment and a second segment which extend lengthwise in the direction of the folding line. The envelope further comprises a substantially transparent second paper sheet to close the window, the first and second sheets defining an overlapping region which surrounds the window and in which they overlap. The envelope further comprises a glue layer to glue the first and second sheets, the glue layer being applied to part of the overlapping region around the window perimeter so as to surround the window. The overlapping region comprises a first glue-free region defined between the first segment of the window perimeter and the glue layer surrounding the first segment and comprises a second glue-free region defined between the second segment of the window perimeter and the glue layer surrounding the second region; the width of the first glue-free region is greater than the width of the second glue-free region. Advantageously the width of the first glue-free region is 3 mm or more.
