[origin: WO2008086798A1] Mattress (2) for animals, primarily for use in stables, which mattress (2) comprises at least a first (4) and a second (6) layer of bags, which bags (4, 6) are produced of a woven material. The bags (4, 6) are filled with a filling material. The first (4) and second (6) layers of bags are placed staggered from each other. The first (4) and second (6) layers of bags are covered by a diaphragm (8), which diaphragm (8) is permeable for humidity. The filling material is granulated, which material is porous, which porous material comprises mostly hermetically closed air filled cavities.
