[origin: WO2008087139A1] The present invention relates to unctuous compositions comprising at least one solid active ingredient, at least one hydrophobic protective colloid, and at least one edible oil. The active ingredient is preferably a carotenoid. Preferred protective colloids are prolamines. The inventive compositions are simple to produce, have good bioavailability and dyestuff yield, and are used as an addition to animal feed agents, foods and dietary supplements, and pharmaceutical and cosmetic agents.
