[origin: WO2008114012A1] A clamping attachment device (1; 31) is provided for clamping a first item to a second item, for example for clamping a parasol to a frame (32) of a child's pram or pushchair. The device comprises a clamp body (2; 33) having two parts (7, 8; 34, 35) that can be orientated relative to one another in any of a plurality of relative orientations and then clamped together. One of the parts (7; 34) is adapted to support the first item and the other of the parts (8; 35) is co-operable with a clamping member (3; 41) that is adapted to engage around a portion of the second item. A tightening member (13, 14; 39) moves the clamping member (3; 41) relative to the clamp body (2; 33) to clamp the device (1531) around said portion (32) of the second item and to clamp the first part (7; 34) of the clamp body (2; 33) to the second part (8; 35) of the clamp body (2; 33) at the desired orientation.
