[origin: DE102007027709A1] The method involves starting a function (T, T1, T2) at a particular crankshaft angle (GL2) by a controller. The function is shifted by starting an internal combustion engine up to reaching an end condition about an angle relative to another crankshaft angle. An incident, which is implemented after starting the function about an execution angle (A), is controlled, where the relative angle is smaller than the execution angle. A sensor wheel gap (GL) for an absolute-crankshaft angle is recognized. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for starting an internal combustion engine of a vehicle (2) a computer program having a set of instructions to perform a method for starting an internal combustion engine of a vehicle.
