[origin: WO2008104576A1] The invention relates to a method for determining the concentration of hydrophobic organic particles in the filtrate of a paper fabric. According to said method, the hydrophobic organic particles are marked with a fluorescent dye and are excited in such a way as to emit light. The light emitted by the marked particles is detected, and the mass concentration of the particles is determined on the basis of the fluorescence intensity. The invention also relates to the use of said method for determining the total concentration of hydrophobic organic particles in the filtrate of a paper fabric which is drained on a sieve.
