Abstract (en)
[origin: FR2911020A1] The method involves obtaining a composite signal (101) by composition of signals corresponding to each of a set of channels of a multi channel audio stream using a signal obtaining unit. A frequency limited composite signal is obtained by the suppression of high frequencies. A temporal filter is generated through the channel to identify a signal that is spectrally close to the composite signal (101) of the corresponding channel, when the signal is applied to another signal obtained by extension of spectrum of the frequency limited composite signal using a filter generation unit (104). Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for decoding all or part of a multi channel audio stream (2) a device for coding a multi channel audio stream (3) a device for decoding a multi channel audio stream (4) a signal comprising frequency limited audio signal representing a frequency limited version of an original audio signal resulting from the composition of channels of a multi channel audio stream.
