Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1939910A1] The circuit-breaker (10) has a contact (18) establishing an electrically conductive and detachable connection with another contact (14). The contacts are moved relative to each other along a longitudinal axis (A). Blow volumes (46, 52, 54) are in connection with an arcing zone (40). A low pressure chamber (72) is detached from the volumes by a separating unit (30). Throughflow openings (62, 64, 66) facilitate gas exchange and are provided between the chamber and the volumes. An area of the unit separates the volumes from the chamber in a radial direction with respect to the axis.
