Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2008087143A1] The invention relates to a method and a device (FE) for the signal processing of a first radio signal (FS1) which is formed by modulating a first signal (S1) comprising a known first parameter (P1) onto a first high-frequency carrier (HFT1), and for the signal processing of a second radio signal (FS2) which is formed by modulating a second signal (S2) comprising a known second parameter (P2) onto a second high-frequency carrier (HFT2), wherein both radio signals (FS1, FS2) have a different high-frequency carrier frequency and are received at the same time. In said arrangement, by the use of a common local oscillator (LO), both radio signals (FS1, FS2) are converted into a common intermediate frequency (ZF), and first and second signal components (SA1, SA2) in the intermediate frequency (ZF) at least partially overlap and thus form a summed signal (SS), wherein two mutually independent partial signals (TS1, TS2) are obtained by means of a subsequent signal analysis, using the known first and second parameters (P1, P2) contained in the summed signal (SS), said partial signals being then fed to a further signal processing stage separate from the first. With this method or with this device (FE), it is possible to increase the received data rate with lower cost circuitry and thereby in a cost-optimized way.
