[origin: EP2127772A2] The machine (1) has a tool carrier (4) held in a machine frame at sides and movable relative to the machine frame. The carrier has a bending rail (8) accommodated in a tool support (9) in a position-changeable manner. The tool carrier is provided with adjusting elements over a length, which act on the rail from a side turned to a workpiece (7). The adjusting elements have hydraulic cylinders (11) that are hydraulically connected with one another such that a contact pressure of the rail is set at the workpiece during the forming process, where the pressure is homogeneous along the rail.
