[origin: EP2127901A2] The method involves using embossing regions of high pressure on large decorative plates, where the embossing regions include narrow small-area regions with embossing depths of 150 to 300 micrometer during short-cycle presses with pressing pressure of up to 400 Newton per square meter and embossing depths of 500 to 600 micrometer with pressing pressure of up to 800 Newton per square meter. A zone of high pressure and a zone of low pressure are located adjacent to each other. The zone of low pressure lies in regions which are fallen away as clippings in a work process. An independent claim is also included for a pressing plate comprising two embossing dies.
