The present invention relates to a device (1) for automatically cutting and emptying bags, comprising: - a feed device (2) designed to take one or more bags to a take-up position (a); - a gripper unit (3) designed to grip the one or more bags at the take-up position (a) and move it/them to a delivery position (b); - a cutting and emptying device (4) designed to cut open and empty the one or more moved bags; in which the gripper unit (3) can be rotated between the take-up position (a) and delivery position (b).
