[origin: EP2128060A2] The machine has an impression unit provided with a movable impression base (130), and an impression cylinder that is arranged with horizontal axis of rotation above a machine bed by a film unit with control devices. A film storage container (136) receives a supply roller (134), and a film brake mechanism (200) generates web tension between the supply roller and the control device of the film unit. The film brake mechanism produces a braking force at an impression foil course at a distance from the supply roller.
