[origin: EP2128314A2] A buffer device (2), supplied with a non-woven strip (N) at a specific, possibly non-constant, first linear speed (V1(t)), comprises (a) a transporter (20) with a strip take-up zone (Zr) for transporting the strip at a (possibly different) second linear speed (V2(t)) and (b) an automatic regulator (21) for adjusting the height of the take-up zone as function of the difference between the speeds, so that the path length for the strip is automatically regulated. An independent claim is included for a continuous non-woven strip production system, comprising: (A) an upstream machine (1) for delivering the strip (N) at the first linear speed (V1(t)); and (B) a buffer device (2) as above, positioned at the outlet of the upstream machine.
