Abstract (en)

[origin: EP2128523A2] The combustor i.e. firing system (1), has a firing equipment i.e. firing grate (7), a recirculation mechanism i.e. driven conveyor (28), for recirculating wastes and ashes into a grate opening of the firing equipment. A measurement mechanism i.e. thermographic camera (31), measures a parameter of combustion. An influencing mechanism i.e. proportional-integral-derivative (PID) regulator, influences the combustion by influencing quantity of the recirculated wastes and ashes. The firing equipment comprises a feed hopper (2) with a feeding chute (3) for feeding fuel (4) to a feeding table (5). An independent claim is also included for a method for regulating a combustor.
