[origin: WO2008107382A1] The invention relates to a pricking device for taking blood for medical tests. Said pricking device comprises a base (1, 2; 31, 32; 61, 62), at least one needle (8; 38; 68) which is arranged therein, of which a pointed end (9; 39; 69) can be deployed, and which is provided with a needle retaining element (6; 36; 66) that at least partly embraces the needle (8; 38), and a manual actuating element (4; 34; 64) for inducing a movement (20; 21; 48-52; 78-82) of the needle (8; 38; 68) along with the needle retaining element (6; 36; 66) relative to the base (1, 2; 31, 32; 61, 62). The needle (8; 38; 68) is spring-loaded. At least one leg spring (11; 41; 71) is provided, the first end (11b; 41b; 71b) of which is fastened to the base (2; 32; 62) and the second end (11a; 41a; 71a) of which allows the needle retaining element (6; 36; 66) to travel along a predefined curved control cam section (13; 43; 73) during a releasing process (19, 21; 49, 51; 79, 81) of the leg spring (11; 41; 71).
