[origin: WO2008119440A2] The invention relates to a temperature probe (11) for an oven (35), comprising a longitudinal housing (12) in the form of a spit. A temperature sensor (24) and an electronic unit (25) are arranged in a tip (13) and are connected at the other end (22) to emitting means (21). The temperature probe (11) comprises a thermogenerator (31) for producing energy (19). The thermogenerator (31) uses a temperature difference between a higher temperature inside the oven (35) and a lower core temperature in a roast (15), in which the temperature probe (11) is inserted, for producing energy (19) for operating the emitting means (21).
