The cap (10) has a base body comprising a mantle surface and a covering surface (30), and a support (70) provided for an annular carrier element (40) i.e. carrier ring, which is held in a closed condition. Projections (60) e.g. ribs, are arranged at the mantle surface parallel to a rotation axis of the cap, and form a gripping surface, which partially forms the mantle surface. The projections comprise a recess at ends turned towards the covering surface. The recess forms the support for the carrier element, and the covering surface comprises a chamfered edge (80).

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Verschlusskappe (10) für eine Flasche, insbesondere für eine Getränkeflasche aus Kunststoff, mit einem im Wesentlichen zylindrischen Grundkörper, der eine Mantelfläche (20) und eine die Mantelfläche (20) abschließende Deckfläche (30) aufweist, sowie mit einem an der Verschlusskappe (10) angeordneten klappbaren Trageelement (40), wobei die Verschlusskappe (10) eine Aufnahme (70) für das Trageelement (40) aufweist, die das Trageelement (40) in einem zugeklappten Zustand aufnimmt.
