[origin: EP2130793A1] In an elevator apparatus, an operation control section controls an operation of a car in a plurality of operation modes including a normal operation mode and a high-speed operation mode for causing the car to run at a speed higher than a speed in the normal operation mode. A notification control section causes a notification section to notify quantitative information relating to a difference in transport efficiency between a case where the car is caused to run in the normal operation mode and a case where the car is caused to run in the high-speed operation mode based on information from the operation control section.
