[origin: WO2008116243A1] The invention relates to a method for machining a toothing (7) on an outer circumference (6) or an inner circumference of a work piece (2) made of pressed and sintered powder metal, by means of a rolling process on the toothing (7) using two rotatable section rolling wheels (8), which comprise a formed toothing (13) engaging in the toothing (7) of the work piece (2). Two section rolling wheels (8) are rotatably arranged with at least approximately constant center distances (16) from each other between the section rolling wheels axles (9) in a common supporting frame (10). The invention further relates to a device for a rolling treatment of a toothing.
