Abstract (en)

[origin: GB2447289A] The invention relates to a connector system which connects together first (1 figure 1) and second (2 figure 1) building modules e.g. shipping containers to form buildings. The connector system comprises a first connector block 51 fixed to the first building module (1 figure 1). A second connector block 52 is fixed to the second building module (2 figure 2). A load bearing fixing plate 63 is positioned between the first and second building modules and projects outwardly from the modules. A spigot 61 passes through an opening in the fixing plate 63 and projects on one side of the plate into an opening in the first connector block 51, and projects on the opposite side of the plate into an opening in the second connector block 52. A later embodiment relates to a method of constructing a building comprising a connector system to connect first and second building modules.
