[origin: WO2008107229A1] The invention relates to a ceramic gas sensor for the measurement of a gas component in a gas mixture, comprising a sensor element (10) which has at least one first electrode (20) exposed to the gas mixture to be determined and at least one additional electrode (24). In said arrangement, only one common electrical contact is provided for the first electrode (20) and for the additional electrode (24), wherein an electrical resistance (R<SUB>k</SUB>) arranged within the gas sensor is connected upstream of the first electrode (20) and/or the additional electrode (24).
