The device (1) has a housing (2) comprising side walls with a front side opening and limiting a cooling chamber (9). Horizontally running bars (22) connect the side walls in an area of the front side opening, where a part of the opening below the bars is closed. The bars are varied in height and/or shifted in a height position relative to the side walls. A drawer (11) with a front wall (14) is extended below the bars in the cooling chamber. The front wall rests at the bars in a sliding condition of the drawer. A door is arranged below the bars and rests at the bars in a closed condition.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Kältegerät, insbesondere ein Haushaltskältegerät, aufweisend ein Gehäuse (2) mit zwei gegenüberliegenden Seitenwände (4, 5), das einen Kälteraum (9) begrenzt und eine fronseitige Öffnung (21) aufweist. Das Kältegerät (1) umfasst ferner einen die beiden Seitenwände (4, 5) im Bereich der frontseitigen Öffnung (21) verbindenden und horizontal verlaufenden Holm (22, 66, 67), der in seiner Höhe variierbar und/oder in seiner Höhenposition bezüglich der Seitenwände (4, 5) versetzbar ist.
