Abstract (en)

[origin: EP2135741A2] The printer device has a mobile or immobile printer element, which has a physical characteristic, and is formed to change the physical characteristic. The mobile or immobile printer element has a magnetorheological or an electrorheological material or an upper surface section, which is covered with the magnetorheological or an electrorheological material. The magnetorheological or an electrorheological material is provided as, particularly liquid or polymer or elastomer. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a controlling device for controlling field strength of a field, particularly an electrical or a magnetic or an electromagnetic field; (2) a method for changing a physical characteristic, particularly hardness, shearing strength, absorption behavior, compressibility, elasticity or expansion of a printer element of printer device; (3) a method for manufacturing a printer device; (4) a method for controlling field strength of a field, particularly an electrical or a magnetic or an electromagnetic field; and (5) a method for changing physical characteristic, particularly viscosity, volume or temperature, of color or water of a printer.
