[origin: WO2008110227A1] A pressure measurement device (1) is proposed, as is a method for pressure measurement, the pressure to be measured being exerted on a contact surface (111) of the pressure measurement device (1) using an object (7). The pressure measurement device (1) comprises an image-capturing module (11) comprising the contact surface (111), wherein image data of an elastically structured partial surface (711) of the object (7) is captured. Corresponding to the color and/or brightness values of selectively captured image data, the pressure is determined and displayed. Based on the pressure measurement device (1) according to the invention, the invention particularly relates to implemented methods and devices for coordinate capturing (2), navigational input (3), authentication (4) of a user, and command (5) and text entry.
