The container (1) for packing and transporting fruit and vegetable products (7,8,9) comprises a plastic tray, the bottom thereof being shaped to define at least a base foot (4a,4b) for resting the tray on a support surface (5), and at least a seat (6) substantially spherical for housing a fruit and vegetable product (7,8,9) at least in part substantially spherical, the base foot (4a,4b) and the seat (6) being substantially distinct and the one from the other.
