The arrangement has a heatable cylinder (10) i.e. drying chamber, comprising a rotatable cylinder barrel (12), where a web e.g. paper web, is guided between the cylinder and an outer press band around the cylinder. A pressure device e.g. pressure cap, pressurizes the outer press band, which entangles the cylinder together with the web. The barrel is interfused by a torque-proof support core (14), and is rotatably supported at the support core. The support core is connected with a framing attached to the cylinder, and is formed in cylindrical shape.

Eine Trocknungsanordnung zum Trocknen einer laufenden Faserstoffbahn, insbesondere Papier-, Karton- oder Tissuebahn, umfasst einen beheizbaren, einen drehbaren Mantel (12) umfassenden Zylinder (10), insbesondere Trockenzylinder, um den die Faserstoffbahn zusammen mit einem äußeren Pressband geführt ist, sowie wenigstens einer Druckvorrichtung zur Beaufschlagung des den beheizbaren Zylinder (10) zusammen mit der die Faserstoffbahn umschlingenden äußeren Pressbandes. Dabei ist der Zylindermantel (12) von einem drehfesten Stützkern (14) durchsetzt und drehbar an diesem abgestützt.
