Abstract (en)

The sealing tape has a foam strip (2) comprising two transverse surfaces (8) connected to lateral surfaces (6). A foil-type wrapping (4) surrounds the foam strip, and holds a foam strip in a precompressed state. The transverse surface (8) of the foam strip is pressed against a strip-like element (10) that is arranged inside the wrapping, where the strip-like element provides resistance to bending in a transverse direction. The transverse surface (8) of the foam strip is arranged opposite to the former transverse surface, and is firmly connected to the foil-type wrapping. An independent claim is also included for a method for sealing a joint by a sealing tape.

Das vorkomprimierte Dichtband für das Abdichten einer Fuge umfasst einen elastisch rückstellfähigen, sich in Längsrichtung weiter als in Querrichtung erstreckenden Schaumstoffstreifen (2) rechteckigen Querschnitts, der zwei Seitenflächen (6) und zwei diese Seitenflächen (6) verbindenden Querflächen (8, 9) aufweist, und eine folienhafte Umhüllung (4), die den Schaumstoffstreifen (2) vollständig umgibt und ihn dadurch in einem vorkomprimierten Zustand hält. Dabei ist mindestens eine Querfläche (8, 9) des Schaumstoffstreifens (2) gegen ein streifenförmiges Element (10) gedrückt, welches innerhalb der Umhüllung (4) angeordnet ist und in Querrichtung zumindest eine gewisse Biegesteifigkeit aufweist.
