Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2139074A2] The device (1) has a multi-part housing (5) with a base section (6) for retaining a cable, and insulation penetrating contacts (8) e.g. piercing contacts, arranged at a cover section (7) of the housing. The contacts contact conductors (3) of a flat cable (2) during assembling of the base section and the cover section. A separating device separates the conductors of the cable and has separating pins (9). The cover section and the base section are formed such that the separating pins are inserted into the housing when the contacts contact the cable.
