[origin: WO2008131962A1] Disclosed are a piece of furniture and a mechanism for ejecting a furniture part (3) that is movably received on a stationary furniture part (2). Said mechanism comprises an ejection element (16) which can be driven using a drive unit, is mounted on one of the two furniture parts (2, 3), and is temporarily in contact with the other furniture part in order to eject the movable furniture part (3). The ejection element (16) can be driven in order to interrupt the contact between the ejection element (16) and the other furniture part during an ejection process. According to the invention, means are provided for generating a driving effect on the ejection element (16), said driving effect automatically changing in accordance with the ejection behavior of the movable furniture part (3).
