Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2008135120A1] The invention relates to a mobile sweeper for cleaning an area, with a housing in which an electric motor and a brush roller, which can be rotated by the electric motor about an axis of rotation, are disposed, and with a dirt-collecting container, which can be detachably connected to the housing. The dirt-collecting container has an opening for the entry of dirt. A sweeping edge is disposed between the opening for the entry of dirt and the brush roller. In order to construct the sweeper in such a manner that a constant, good cleaning result is achieved even when surface unevenness occurs, it is proposed, according to the invention, that the brush roller and the sweeping edge are mounted in such a way that they can be swiveled about a common swiveling axis.
