Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2008116636A2] The invention relates to a therapeutic plaster for the topical application of naturopathic remedies which are otherwise suitable for oral application and/or injection. Said plaster comprises the following components: a pad produced from a support material for at least one liquid or dissolved naturopathic remedy, a dressing with a layer that adheres to the skin, said dressing completely covering the pad and projecting from it on at least two sides, and at least one liquid or dissolved naturopathic remedy in the support material or in a reservoir that can be opened towards the support material. The therapeutic plaster according to the invention is used for the stimulation and treatment of trigger and acupuncture points and for meridian therapy. The invention allows known naturopathic remedies, especially known homeopathic remedies, to be made accessible to other alternative forms of treatment. The invention is based on the finding that substances that are ineffective or hardly effective via the skin per se can develop an action so far not utilized when applied in certain skin areas and especially over a prolonged period of time by the sustained release from a support.
