Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2009056122A1] The invention relates to a crane having a telescoping boom, the sections of which disposed in a basic boom and individually telescopable can be retracted and extended after detaching them from locking pin connections and are bolted in the respective extended or retracted positions by locking pins, wherein a guiding profile head is disposed at the end facing away from the linkage of a securing and locking unit on the inside end of the basic boom. In order to be able to execute the extension of the boom without significant changes to the telescoping system, it is proposed to detachably fasten the guiding profile head to the securing and locking unit, to allow an additional guiding frame to be installed instead of the guiding profile head, the length of said guiding frame being dimensioned to match the extended length of the telescoping boom as a result of sections additionally inserted in the telescoping boom, and to allow a guiding profile head to attach at the free end of the guiding frame.
