Abstract (en)
The apparatus (1) has two jaws (2, 3) with end supporting hair treating surfaces, where hair is inserted between the treating surfaces when the jaws in an open position. The jaws form two handle halves (5, 6) between the treatment surfaces and an articulation (4), where the jaws have an intersecting area (9). Return units return the handle halves that pressurize the treatment surfaces, where the return unit has a compression spring (12). The treatment surfaces are constituted by two smooth plates (10, 11) for straightening the hair.

L'invention concerne un appareil (1) de coiffure comportant deux mâchoires (2, 3) supportant chacune à une extrémité une surface de traitement (10, 11) dont au moins une comporte un élément chauffant, lesdites mâchoires (2, 3) étant montées pivotantes à l'autre extrémité autour d'une articulation (4) entre une position d'ouverture permettant l'insertion des cheveux entre les deux surfaces de traitement (10, 11) et une position de fermeture pour leur mise en contact avec les deux surfaces de traitement (10, 11), lesdites mâchoires (2, 3) formant entre les surfaces de traitement (10, 11) et l'articulation deux demi poignées (5, 6). Conformément à l'invention, l'appareil (1) comporte des moyens de rappel des demi poignées (5, 6) qui provoquent la mise en pression des surfaces de traitement (10, 11).
