Abstract (en)
The severing machine comprises an electronic control (30), a feed system (5, 3) for feeding logs (L) to be cut and a cutting member (15). The feed system and the cutting member are controlled by the electronic control so as to subdivide each log into a plurality of small rolls (R). The electronic control is associated with a vision system (33), which detects at least one optically identifiable element on the log (L) so as to phase the cut relative to said optically identifiable element.
