Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2145981A2] Spray for applying etching or cleaning fluid (11) to metal strip (12) comprises an outer pipe (16) with one closed end which has jets (14) along its length. A second pipe (17) which is open at both ends is mounted coaxially in the first pipe and terminates before it reaches its closed end. An independent claim is included for operating the spray in which fluid is fed under pressure simultaneously though the open end of the outer pipe and the adjacent end of the inner pipe, so that it strike the closed end of the outer pipe and flows back turbulently through the space between the two pipes.
