[origin: EP2146174A1] An ammunition retainer apparatus (10) for restraining a continuous belt of linked ammunition cartridges loaded into bays of an ammunition box or magazine (2) from flowing over a divider wall (3) from a first bay to a second bay adjacent to the first bay. The ammunition retainer apparatus comprises an elongated body having on a first side, a first pair of tabs (12a,14a) rigidly attached to the body and protruding from the body in a first direction, and on a second side, a second pair of tabs (12b,14b) rigidly attached to the body and protruding from the body in a second direction.
