The device has a manual control device (3) with a functional key (7) for selecting and accessing a data set comprising description data, control data and screwing control program, where the data set is stored in a control device-data storage. A screwing process is started by the manual control device (3) and/or a screwing tool i.e. servo screw driver (2). The manual control device detects a screwing process data such as torque specification during a screwing process and stores the data in a control device-data storage assigned to a description data for evaluation and documentation. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a screwing device.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung mit einem Schraubwerkzeug (2) mit elektronischer Drehmomentbegrenzung und mit einer Eingabe-Steuer-Dokumentationseinheit. Erfindungsgemäß ist die Eingabesteuer-Dokumentationseinheit modular aufgebaut mit einem vom Schraubwerkzeug (2) unabhängigen Computer (4) mit einem installierten Schraubprogramm und mit einer Computertastatur (6) mit der eine Vielzahl von Vorgabedaten eingegeben werden können. Weiter ist ein tragbares, zur Benutzung durch einen Werker (10) am Ort des Schraubvorgangs ausgelegtes Hand-Steuergerät (3) vorgesehen, mit einem integrierten Steuergerät-Datenspeicher, mit einem Steuergerät-Display (5) und mit nur wenigen Funktionstasten (7), wobei das Hand-Steuergerät (3) für einen Datentransfer aus dem computerinstallierten Schraubprogramm in den Steuergerät-Datenspeicher vor einem Schraubvorgang zeitweise an den Computer (4) anschließbar ist. Für einen Schraubvorgang ist das Hand-Steuergerät (3) am Ort des Schraubvorgangs mit dem dortigen Schraubgerät (2) zu dessen Steuerung und zur Erfassung und Speicherung von aktuellen Schraubvorgangsdaten für eine Dokumentation mit einer Datenleitung (9) verbunden.
