Process for extracting cellulose comprises soaking the cellulose containing raw materials from herbaceous plants in an alkaline solution, thermomechanical-chemical processing of raw materials in a twin-screw apparatus comprising a heated chamber, two parallely coupled shaft installed within the chamber, on which alternative screw conveyor segments and grinding cam segments are mounted, washing, bleaching, again washing, centrifuging and drying, where before washing, an additional thermo-chemical processing in a twin-screw apparatus, on which shaft of alternative screw conveyor segments and brake screw segments are mounted, is carried out.
