The cooler has a housing formed by two half shelves (2a, 2b) and including a cooling water inlet (3) and a cooling water inlet, where cooling pipes are arranged adjacent to each other in the half shelves. Each pipe includes two parallely running side walls with an enlarged distance at ends. The ends of the pipes are jointly connected with each other or with the half shelves above the sidewalls by a laser welding in a liquid-tight manner. Sections of the pipes are designed as a corrugated pipe, and partially extend between the inlet and a housing end or the outlet and the housing end.

Die Erfindung betrifft Abgaskühler für ein Kraftfahrzeug, mit einem aus zwei Halbschalen (2a, 2b) zusammengefügten Gehäuse, das einen Kühlwassereinlass (3) und einen Kühlwasserauslass (4) aufweist, mehreren Kühlrohren (5), die in dem Gehäuse (2a, 2b) angeordnet und jeweils aus zwei Halbschalen zusammengefügt sind, wobei jedes Kühlrohr (5) zwei parallel verlaufende Seitenwände (5a, 5b) aufweist, die an seinen Enden jeweils einen vergrößerten Abstand voneinander haben, und wobei die Kühlrohre (5) an ihren Enden über diese Seitenwände (5a, 5b) stoffschlüssig mit einem benachbarten Kühlrohr (5) oder dem Gehäuse (2a, 2b) verbunden sind. Erfindungsgemäß ist vorgesehen, dass ein Abschnitt (5c) der Kühlrohre (5) als Wellrohr ausgebildet ist.
