The method involves controlling the starter current in the starting process by the starter controller (4) in a defined manner. The starter current is synchronized by the starter controller of the starter (1), so that the starter is operated at a defined current value. The starter is charged by the starter controller with a variably adjusted starter voltage in defined manner. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a computer program product for executing the method; (2) a starter controller with control electronics; (3) an on-board electrical system for a motor vehicle; and (4) an on-board electrical system module device for a motor vehicle.

Es wird ein Verfahren zum Starten einer Brennkraftmaschine (5) eines Fahrzeugs mittels eines Starters (1) und einer daran angeschlossenen Startersteuerung (4) beschrieben. Um einen Starter (1) mit hoher Leistung und mit einer geringen mechanischen elektrischen Belastung effizienter beim Start einer Brennkraftmaschine einzusetzen, wird ein Starterstrom (I) im Startvorgang von der Startersteuerung (4), die elektronische Bauteile umfasst, definiert geregelt.
