[origin: CA2684533A1] The invention relates to a phosphate-free dishwasher detergent, containin g 0.01 - 20% by weight of at least one alcohol alkoxylate, 0.01 - 10% by wei ght of at least one alcohol ethoxylate, 0 - 15% by weight of at least one su lfonate group-containing polymer, 0 - 15% by weight of at least one hydrophi lically modified polycarboxylate, 0 - 8% by weight of at least one polycarbo xylate, 1 - 50% by weight of at least one complexing agent and 0.1 - 60% by weight of at least one further additive, components (A), (B), (C), (D), (E), (F) and (G) adding up to 100%. The invention also relates to a method for w ashing the surfaces of articles by treating said surfaces with the agent and to the use of the agent for increasing the rinsing power when articles are cleaned in a dishwasher.
