[origin: WO2008141755A1] The present invention relates to a connecting system comprising a plug (1) and a socket (2). A light wave conductor (21a, 21b) is guided through each of them. The plug (1) comprises a ferrule (3) and a cylindrical projection (7) having a larger diameter compared to the ferrule on the side of the ferrule (3) facing the conductor. The socket (2) comprises a stepped bore (14) for receiving the ferrule (3) and the cylindrical projection (7), the dimensions of the ferrule (3) and the cylindrical projection (7) having a diameter larger than the ferrule on the side of the ferrule facing the conductor and the stepped bore corresponding to a standard FSMA plug or socket, characterized in that the plug comprises at least one groove (11) and the socket at least one corresponding spring (18). The spring (18) extends into the groove (11) when the plug and the socket are plugged together.
